Frosty comes to life in MoCo’s magical production of Frosty The Snowman! For many students in MoCo’s Storytime Theatre class, this is their first time being on stage, under the lights, and performing for an audience. “Being a MoCo alum myself, I wanted to share in my love for the community with my children,” stated parent Tamar Teitelman. “(My son) Elon has been so full of joy each week when I pick him up from class, and so proud of the work they are all putting in to create this show. I love that he can be involved in the arts at such a young age and in such an age-appropriate way. We are so lucky to have a place like MoCo in our community.”

Storytime Theatre offers students ages 4 through grade 2 the opportunity to explore the arts and gain independence and confidence in class and on stage. “It is really important for kids to take an active role in storytelling, to balance out all of the passive opportunities presented to them through the media,” shared Artistic Director of Young Arts Danielle Fitzpatrick. “A lot of children think theater, movies and TV are just “magic,” but MoCo Arts students learn that it is really a lot of hard work by talented, real people doing real things to make something look amazing!”

In addition to Storytime Theatre, MoCo’s Young Arts program offers Creative Dance, a fun and engaging program designed to follow the physical and cognitive development of the growing child from 18 months through Grade 2. Children as young as 6 months can participate — Babies Boogie, Too! is for caregivers and infants up to 18 months.
