Young Voice Workshop with JoJo Mead

Open to kids in grades 3 through 5

MoCo is offering a Young Voice Workshop with JoJo Mead on Wednesday, May 1, 8, 15, and 22 from 4-5 p.m. for kids in grades 3 through 5, $75 per students for all four classes.

Join vocal coach JoJo Mead and learn all about your voice and how to use it for musicals or singing your favorite songs!

Do you love to sing? Learn the fundamentals of how to sing, how to take care of your voice, and how to make your voice stronger—all while building confidence. This fun class will allow you to try different styles of vocal music appropriate for young, unchanged voices. This is a great opportunity for students who are interested in musical theatre or solo singing.

Improvisation Workshops
Open to kids in grades 6 through 12
Wildwood Studio at MoCo Arts
Fridays, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
$220 for the semester, or drop-in for $21/class

Explore the world of improvisation! This is a form of live theatre where the plot, characters, and dialogue of a game, scene, or story is made up in the moment. This class will use theatre games and scene work that challenge students to use their creative energy while having fun. Improv Workshops will be held on Friday nights except during performance weeks. Note: There is no performance element to this workshop.

Adult Improvisation Workshops
Ages 18+
The Founder’s Theatre at MoCo Arts
Tuesdays, 5:45 – 6:45 p.m.
Adult Improv runs in two sessions, each session is $158, or drop-in for $21/class

It’s never too late to let loose and explore the world of improvisational theatre! Join our Adult Improv class and discover the joy of spontaneous storytelling, quick thinking, and collaborative creativity. No experience is necessary – just come with an open mind and a willingness to have fun!

Theatre Games
Grades 2 through 5

Unleash your imagination, build confidence, and have a blast while learning the intricacies of theatrical expression. This class is perfect for elementary-aged students who are ready to dive into the world of drama through engaging games and interactive exercises.

Technical Theatre Workshop
Open to kids in grades 6 through 12
The Founder’s Theatre at MoCo Arts

The Technical Theatre Workshop is a unique and fun opportunity for students to go behind the scenes and learn about all of the elements used to put on a stage production. Students will be immersed in hands-on activities utilizing stage lighting, sound equipment, set construction, and more!

Working together with the teacher, students will work to design and build some of the elements that will be seen on stage in our Theatre productions. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to work together, in all aspects of theatre, to put on a great show.
