Student Dance-A-Thon Raises $5,056 in support of ‘MoCo Moves’

Dance, dance, DANCE! That was the energy on Sunday afternoon as over 50 MoCo Arts students ages 2nd – 12th grade gathered in MoCo’s studios at 76 Railroad Street to dance their hearts out, raising money for the MoCo Moves: Building MoCo Arts’ Future capital campaign. We are thrilled to announce that the Dance-A-thon raised $5,056.65!

MoCo Arts is in the midst of a $5 million capital campaign to build a new hub of creative arts education in downtown Keene. With just over $4.5 million of the $5 million raised, construction has begun on the 17,000 sq ft building.

At MoCo Arts, the kids are the stars. The student Dance-A-Thon was a great opportunity for our students to get hands on with the fundraising efforts. We tasked them with soliciting one time donations in support of their dancing efforts, then attend a fun-filled afternoon at MoCo with dancing, activities, and special guests, including Ribby from the Swamp Bats.
