MoCo Arts kicks off its fall performance season with The Phantom Tollbooth

The exceptional tale of Milo, Tock, and a certain magic tollbooth is brought magnificently to life on stage in The Phantom Tollbooth performed by MoCo Arts Middle/High School Play on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 2 and 5 p.m. The beloved children’s book written by Norton Juster has become one of the most treasured pieces of literature, educating and entertaining readers across the world. Join MoCo’s Middle/High School performers as they bring to life a world of magical adventures in The Phantom Tollbooth.

Even surrounded by dozens of toys, Milo is bored. Nothing interests him at all. One day after school, The Phantom Tollbooth comes to the rescue! Transported to the Land of Wisdom, Milo is thrust into adventure when told Princesses Rhyme and Reason need rescuing to bring peace between two kings. They are divided over which is more important: words or numbers. Knee-deep in danger, language, and math along the way, Milo learns everything has a purpose. Upon his return home, he realizes there is never a reason to be bored in a world full of so many things to discover.

Showtimes are Sunday, Nov. 20 at 2 and 5 p.m. There will be no late seating. Tickets to the performance are $15 and can be purchased by calling MoCo Arts at (603) 357-2100 or stopping by MoCo at 40 Roxbury Street, Keene, NH 03431. Tickets are nonrefundable.
