Down the Rabbit Hole

The cast of MoCo’s Middle School Play, “Alice in Wonderland”

Get ready to journey down the rabbit hole when the middle school theatre group at MoCo Arts performs “Alice in Wonderland” on December 8th in The Founder’s Theatre at MoCo Arts. Featuring a full cast of strange and dynamic characters including the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts, and of course Alice herself, the play follows the original storyline by Lewis Carroll, and then adds an unexpected twist. The MoCo Arts interpretation of this classic tale is set at a rock concert in the 1980s, with a flair that any Michael Jackson or Madonna fan will appreciate.

Middle School Theatre Students auditioning for the upcoming musical, “Disney’s Frozen JR.”

MoCo Arts’ award-winning theatre program offers classes in musical theatre and straight theatre for children in grades 2-12, as well as a variety of theatre workshops throughout the year. Each class rehearses once each week, working together to perform a fully produced musical or play. All students are cast in a role and work together with the directors to develop their characters, learn stage direction and memorize lines for each production. It is an immersive experience; one that has the power to transform lives by building confidence, increasing self-awareness, and developing communication skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
