Hone your technique in MoCo’s Spring Acting Workshop Series

Join professional working actors Bridget Beirne and Tom Frey for this hands-on acting workshop series at MoCo Arts. Draw from their real-world experience and immerse yourself in the fundamentals of acting over the course of this 10-week acting intensive. We’ll focus on developing your acting techniques and hone your auditioning skills to equip you with the tools you need to succeed in the world of theatre.

What You Can Expect

During this in-depth workshop series, students will have the opportunity to explore and practice several different acting techniques, all with the goal of introducing them to new concepts and helping them discover their own intrinsic talents.

The series will begin with establishing goals, participating in a few different exercises, and preparing for things to come. As the weeks progress, students will participate in mock auditions, during which they will receive feedback including specific things they can do to improve and increase their chances of success. Subsequent workshops will include cold reading, scene work, monologues, and much more.

These workshops offer students an experiential learning environment in which they will learn by doing, receiving valuable tips and tricks along the way from working actors who understand what it takes to succeed in today’s world. Students can expect to be exposed to cutting-edge ideas that are rooted in modern techniques and validated by years of experience.

The series will culminate in a Student Showcase during the final class on April 15 in MoCo’s black box, The Founder’s Theatre. Friends and family are invited (and highly encouraged!) to attend free of charge.
