A New Semester at MoCo Arts!

After a successful and safe fall semester, MoCo Arts is looking forward to a full schedule of classes this Spring. MoCo offers programming in dance and theatre for children of all ages, and a few select classes for adults too. MoCo welcomes all students wherever they are in their creative arts journey. Students from ages 18 months– grade 12 can chose to participate in a fully produced performance as part of the educational process. Students have the option to learn safely in person or remotely. For a complete schedule of classes and performance, visit www.moco.org. Tuition assistance is available.

The dance program at MoCo Arts offers ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and modern dance for students of all abilities. Classes are available for everyone from beginners to advanced dancers. Our adult dance classes run in half semester sessions offering flexibility but still honoring the need for commitment. These classes are a great workout for those looking to work up a sweat, while still providing the quality dance education that MoCo is known for.

MoCo’s theatre program includes age-appropriate classes in musical theatre and straight theatre, as well as improvisation workshops for kids in grades 2-12. Every student in the class will be cast in a role. Students can look forward to performing virtual shows like Virtually Ever After, and Help Desk, or in our studios with Honk Jr., Quimby’s Great Cape Caper and The Spongebob Musical and can rehearse and perform safely from our facilities or from home. Auditions for the theatre shows happen throughout the month of January.

The youngest students, ages 3-2nd grade, will enjoy MoCo’s Creative Dance classes that culminate in a themed performance at the end of the semester. For a fun acting experience, children can audition to be cast in a Storytime Theatre musical show featuring acting, dancing, costumes, and sets. Toddler/Adult Dance classes introduce children as young as 18 months to the joys of embracing their own creative ways of moving.

Vacation Camps are the perfect way to grow in the arts over February and April school vacation weeks. Campers will dance, act, sing, and create fun art projects built around a camp theme. February’s camp brings the music of The Beatles to MoCo with  All We Need Is Love: MoCo Beatlemania. April’s camp goes extraterrestrial with Camp Creatures from Outer Space! Vacation camps welcome campers ages 4 yrs through 6th grade!

MoCo offers tuition assistance for all their programs. Additionally, MoCo has a partnership with the Keene Housing Kids Collaborative and offers free tuition to anyone living in Keene Housing. For more information about tuition assistance or to
