There are a number of ways you can give to MoCo Arts:

1. Become a Curtain Raiser and support our Productions
2. Support the Scholarship Fund
3. Support MoCo Arts

SPONSOR OUR PRODUCTIONS BY BECOMING A CURTAIN RAISER

The Transformative Experience:  Learn … Practice … Perform … Ta-Dah … Applause!
Our performances are, for many of our students, the Ta-Dah opportunity when all they have learned and practiced in classes comes out on stage.  When the applause fills the performance hall, and the students receive the audience’s heartfelt appreciation of their talents, efforts, beauty and poise – that is the transformative moment – for the student, the audience, and the community.

An Invitation: This is an invitation to support MoCo students each and every time they walk on stage by becoming our Curtain Raisers – MoCo Production Sponsors! By underwriting our productions for $150, you join our audiences in applauding our students and encouraging their efforts. You are also promoting a greater vision of arts and culture in the Monadnock Region.

Become a Curtain Raiser: Your gift of $150 is equivalent to a standing ovation for each and every child on stage. You will be listed in our Performance Program Book handed out at each and every show during MoCo Arts’ 07-08 season.

The Bottom Line:  9 shows, 19 performances, over 700 transformative child experiences and 6,000 anticipated audience members! Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of the transformation!  A list of shows and the dates appears on the back of this letter.

With excitement for our upcoming performances and with gratitude for your support,
Reagan Messer, MoCo Dance Director & Marty Hennum, MoCo Theatre Director.

SUPPORT OUR SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Local young people are turning to the arts to replace the many distractions available to them today. Last year, supporters of The Moving Company, now MoCo Arts, generously donated over $28,000 in tuition assistance, providing 153 deserving local youth with up to 120 hours of arts education.

It is through the rigor of the arts that our teachers give students a foundation for the rest of their lives...to have the confidence to be heard, to approach problems holistically, and to honor their commitments. But, above all, we give them an education in the arts.

At this moment, we need to raise over $28,000 in order to meet the growing need for scholarships and to provide the quality programs we have been recognized for. Whether you decide to sponsor a child, or to make a different kind of contribution, the timing is critical. Families are making choices now about their child’s out-of-school time.

We need your help. Not only will your gift directly impact the life of a local child, it will help insure the continuation of year-round arts education programs that have been recognized by the NH State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

We ask you to reflect on the impact you will have through your positive response. You will provide opportunities for local youth to discover how the arts and creative expression can enrich their young lives, and enable them to find self-realization and fulfillment through participation, performance and exhibition.

Your financial support of MoCo Arts can literally transform a young life.

Thank you very much for your generosity.

SUPPORT MoCo ARTS

On this cold, rainy Saturday afternoon there are seventy young people teeming with enthusiasm and a creative spirit at MoCo Arts. Whether it is the challenge of learning, the thrill of performing, the bond of friendships, or the guidance from teachers, —1,124 students keep coming back for more.

We need your help to continue to serve all of the young people who are anxious to learn and to grow through the arts. Like all educational institutions, student tuition covers only a portion of the costs and we depend on individuals, like you, to help fill that gap. While we take advantage of available grants, volunteerism and donated services, that simply is not enough.

When you make a gift to MoCo Arts, you are investing in the future of a local child. Young people who participate in the arts for at least three hours on three days each week for at least one full year are:

4 times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement
3 times more likely to be elected to class office within their schools
4 times more likely to participate in math and science fairs
3 times more likely to win an award for school attendance
4 times more likely to win an award for writing an essay or poem.

At MoCo we give them that opportunity—every day, all year long. Your investment in the future of the Monadnock children goes far beyond the MoCo’s walls. You are giving them the opportunity to find a new sense of confidence and personal fulfillment, to explore new opportunities and challenges, and to become good citizens.

I hope that you will consider making an investment in our future generation through a donation to our youth programs at The Moving Company, Artworks and Creative Arts at Keene---all programs of MoCo Arts.

Sincerely,
Carol Batchelder, Executive Director, and Yvonne Goldsberry, Board President
